I had a great day yesterday with Nottingham City's 'Schools and Learning' team at the Denewood Centre in Nottingham.
I have worked over many years in some great cities; Wolverhampton, York and Leeds and I know that those colleagues who work in the cities understand the unique challenges and the brilliant opportunities there are to make a real difference for those children and young people who need us most. It was great today working with Gill Ellis, Director of Schools and Learning and her two colleagues, Mirth Parker and Andrew Poulson, who are developing, with the Nottingham schools, the 'Nottingham Learning Trust'. The trust is a cooperative and collaborative schools company dedicated to improving outcomes and changing the lives of children in the city.
