We have to do everything we can to encourage people to continue to learn, to use and build their skills and their knowledge and increase their high-level skills. We need to build character, resilience and grit alongside basic skills as the foundation of all learning. We then need to develop creativity, enterprise and innovation alongside higher level skills to prepare young people for whatever the future might bring.
