I was in Sheffield yesterday talking to a small group of senior leaders from Sheffield secondary schools about the Cutlers' Made in Sheffield programme and how we hope it will develop over the next three years.
Over the last two years, working on the Cutlers' Made in Sheffield
project, I have been privileged to work with and get to know some
extraordinary young people and some amazing colleagues from four Sheffield secondary schools. It has
been wonderful to see their passion and commitment and to watch the young ambassadors for the project develop
their confidence, communication skills and their character. And recently, as the first cohort of ambassadors reach the end of their programme, it has also
been great to listen to them talk about the impact the project has had
and the way it has changed their aspirations, their career choices and
their ambitions. We must be doing something right!
