If we are really serious about changing the culture and creating a culture of excellence we must incentivise and reward co-operation, teamwork, collaboration, networking and partnering. Here are five steps that help to release the magic!
FIND THE MAGICWe must encourage and support the things that work; the projects, challenges and initiatives like breakfast clubs, Mathletics, music and the arts, STEPS, Every Child Counts, Every Child a Reader, mentoring and coaching.
CELEBRATE SUCCESS
We must celebrate everyone's successes and achievements with t-shirts, buttons, badges, wristbands, certificates, awards, chocolate, flowers, cards and letters!
DEVELOP TALENT
We must find, nurture and sustain talent and potential in all our colleagues and all our children and young people.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
We must declare war on complexity; keep it simple and create simply beautiful systems to reinforce and develop a culture of excellence.
COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE
And as we face such uncertain and troubling times in education we must above all tell and share our stories of success with anyone and everyone who wants to hear them.

More than anything else, feedback helps us improve and develop.
So, please let me know what you think?
