I visited Park View Residential Care Home this afternoon to watch a special performance by the Cutlers' Arts and Culture Ambassadors from Firth Park Academy...
Sanctuary Housing's Park View is a purpose-built home, catering for around 60 residents who are supported by a wonderful team of staff. It's clear that Park View offers the highest standards of care for all its residents including those needing specialist dementia support. The ambassadors from Firth Park have been visiting as part of their Cutlers' Arts and Culture programme and today was the culmination of this work where the group performed a variety show before a group of residents and their care team.
The variety show included a very talented young woman called Peace singing, Pencil Full of Lead dancing, comedy sketches, a jazz dance and finished off with a singalong where everyone joined in to sing the Beatles 'I want to hold your hand'. The ambassadors were great and everyone enjoyed popcorn and drinks and appeared to have a great time! It is fantastic to have partners like Sanctuary Housing working with us on the ambassadors programmed and providing opportunities like this to the young people at Firth Park Academy.
