I was in Barnsley again first thing this morning planning with Kelly Drury, who is the Training and Professional Development Manager at Barnsley Healthcare Federation.
We were planning the assemblies and follow up sessions to launch the Cutlers' 'Better Learners, Better Workers: Made in Barnsley' programme over the next couple of weeks. We talked about how this programme would have made a difference to our lives if it had been available when we were at school. We also agreed that it wasn't qualifications that had got us both where are, but persistence, determination and hard work and doing something everyday that moved us towards our goals.
