We were working with the Year 9 ambassadors as part of their WOW Factor Programme; where Sarah and I explain how the 'Better Learners, Better Workers' programme works, stress the ambassadors roles and responsibilities and work with the ambassadors to set targets and goals for next term. Sarah and I will be working with the ambassadors on three more sessions as part of their WOW Factor Programme: 'Why skills Matter in the World of Work', 'Teamwork in the World of Work' and 'Careers and Opportunities in the World of Work'.
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it." Unknown

INTRODUCTION TO 'BETTER LEARNERS, BETTER WORKERS' AT WESTFIELD SCHOOL!
I was at Westfield School this morning with my colleague Sarah Ward, Business Champion for the engineering ambassadors at the school.
Sarah and I worked with the ambassadors from four strands of the 'Better Learners, Better Workers' programme... the engineering and advanced manufacturing sector strand, the arts and cultural sector strand, the NHS 'Taster" strand and the IT and Digital Industries sector strand. It was great to be at Westfield School working with these amazing young people. Westfield is one of our success stories and we are working with the school to develop a more coherent approach which will establish an entitlement for all the students at Westfield School, enrichment sessions for interested and targeted groups and ambassador programmes for carefully selected students who will share what they learn as part of the entitlement and enrichment programmes within the school.
