The great thing about research is that it tells us what works and importantly what doesn't work!
The EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit reinforces John Hattie's work.
And it doesn't matter whether you are working in a school, a hospital, a care home, a prison or a business, the research is there by the bucket load and The EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit and John Hattie's "Visible Learning", which reviews over 800 studies relating to achievement, both point out very clearly that the single most powerful thing we can do to enhance and improve outcomes and achievement is provide people with feedback. I know it's not easy but the most simple and effective prescription for improving organisations is "dollops of feedback"!
