I visited Oakwood High School this afternoon to meet again, the wonderful young people who are on the Better Learners, Better Workers pilot with Rotherham Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This programme is led by the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust and is a consistent and coherent, employer-led approach that will develop, in this very special group of young people, the skills needed for employability and the world of the NHS.
Eileen Ronan had arranged the opportunity and it was good to talk to the ambassadors about the new materials we have developed to support the delivery of the programme. I was really impressed with the way these young people behaved, asked questions and talked about their experiences on the programme. This group are adding real value to the Cutlers' 'Better Learners, Better Workers: Made in Rotherham' programme and it is fantastic to have the Oakwood team and their brilliant ambassadors on board... they are some of the stars of the BLBW programme and they are destined to go on to do great things!
