WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEK!

This week I have attended three launch events and seen around 200 young people start on the Cutlers' 'Made in Sheffield' programme. These programmes are intended to give the students the edge and make them stand out from the crowd.

The programme operates with a small number of students from each participating school and we now have ten schools working in ten employment sectors. Students have to apply and go through a formal selection and interview process to become an Ambassador. Each sector programme includes a variety of high quality training including some generic elements:
  • Team Building day;
  • Skills Matter day;
  • World of Work  day.
and some sector specific elements:
  • Employer Visits;
  • Work Experience.
Ambassadors are expected to represent their school and their business sector and share what they learn about the world of work and the business sector with other students in the school. If you want to know more about the programme please get in touch!
