The Power of FOUR!

I know that the DfE believe that the key to achieving great outcomes is through great teaching and great teachers...

However, those of us who have been working on this for the last thirty to forty years know that it is what goes on in classrooms and the quality of the teaching team that makes for brilliant learning.
Careful reading of the research scarily shows that there is a fourfold difference between the most effective and least effective classrooms and that ensuring greater consistency is one of our greatest challenge. Wherever I look you see brilliant stuff sitting alongside the mundane and the ordinary.

People then ask me what can we do about it and the answer is change the culture; develop a culture where everyone expects great things, everyone is passionate about learning and where teachers and classroom assistants are the best learners in their classrooms.

And if you don't know the tricks, techniques and tools to make this happen please let me know. I'd be happy to help you release the magic wherever you work.
