FOUR SMALL STEPS TO EXTRAORDINARY!

It's worrying that organisations like the BBC, the police, News International, the NHS and our politicians are all struggling with issues around confidence, trust, communication and blame. We know that the Keys to Success focus on leadership, beautiful systems and intelligent accountability but researchers also say there are four steps schools, hospitals, care homes, companies and organisations can take to help colleagues thrive!
If you want to create an extraordinary organisation:
  • GIVE FEEDBACK: Give feedback regularly to remove all uncertainty about performance and keep people engaged, positive and focused on outcomes.
  • EMPOWER: Allow people at all levels to make decisions, giving them a sense of ownership and control.
  • COMMUNICATE: Let people know how their contribution fits into the organisation as a whole.
  • TRUST AND RESPECT: Create a no-blame we can do anything culture which encourages people to experiment and take risks.
