OUTCOMES MATTER!

"For if knowledge and skills are the global currency of the 21st century,
countries will do well to stock up on their reserves."
The Young Foundation's publication 'A framework of outcomes for young people' recognises that we have to do everything we can to encourage people to continue to learn, to use and build their skills and their knowledge and increase their high-level skills. It attempts to develop a conceptual framework defined by two dimensions: individual skills and behaviours and social and emotional capabilities.
We need to build character, determination, resilience and grit alongside basic skills as the foundation of all learning. We then need to develop creativity, enterprise and innovation alongside higher level skills to prepare young people for whatever the future might bring.
