FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS!

It has been a long hot Summer where I have been reading, learning, listening and looking at evidence, research, analysis and case studies. Over the last year people have focused once again on the wrong things as the keys to success and to improve outcomes and failed to recognise the importance of people, feedback, challenge, shared experience, environment and community.
Research shows us what matters and we need to stay positive, share, network and learn with the best, build excellence and focus relentlessly on what works and what matters. We need to refocus on leadership and on culture and we need to take this opportunity to re-invent and re-engineer our organisations and our systems building on the real excellence we see in so many places here and across the world, building learning leadership, beautiful systems and intelligent accountability. Importantly, in a world where resources will continue to be scarce we must use evidence and research to eradicate the irrelevant, dispose of the second rate and pack away the things that are obsolete and fail to connect with and alienate people.
