TEACHING MATTERS BUT LEARNING COUNTS!

Interestingly, John Hattie's research suggests that only 30% of what makes a difference is in the hands of teachers.

Importantly Hattie emphasises that teachers do really make a difference, and goes on to point out the differences between expert teachers and merely experienced ones, based on empirical research, for once. He identifies five major dimensions of excellent teachers. Expert teachers illustrate, coach, guide, monitor and influence learning and learners!
