- Read for 15 minutes
- Play on the floor for 15 minutes
- Play number games for 15 minutes
- Talk for 15 minutes with the television off
- Adopt positive attitudes towards your child and praise their efforts frequently
- Give your child a nutritious diet to aid development
Critically we should be looking as parents and carers to help develop our children's personal and social skills, their basic skills, and most importantly a growth mindset. If you want to know more about the growth mindset read Carol Dweck's brilliant book! And by the way it doesn't matter how old the child is... try it and see!
