EDUCATION TO EMPLOYMENT: Designing a System that Works!

McKinsey have published this report, which everyone interested in education and skills should read.

This is the nature of the problem employers are facing across the world where a lack of key skills is causing significant problems in terms of cost, quality and time.

These are the skills that employers think really matter: character, discipline and work ethic, higher level skills: problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork, basic skills: literacy, numeracy, communication and creativity. This is the Cutlers' "Made in Sheffield" skill set developed in Sheffield with schools and employers.

You can download the report at http://mckinseyonsociety.com/downloads/reports/Education/Education-to-Employment_FINAL.pdf. To find out more about the Cutlers' "Made in Sheffield" project contact me!
