THE EDGE FOUNDATION: SIX STEPS FOR CHANGE!

The Edge Foundation published this important report last year and anyone who is passionate about learning and that children and young people should have access to a curriculum that blends the best of academic learning and technical learning should read this report.

The Edge Foundation is an independent education charity, dedicated to raising the status of technical, practical and vocational learning. They believe that all young people should have the opportunity to achieve their potential and that the UK’s future workforce needs to be equipped with the skills to be successful in the modern, global economy. Edge believes that “learning by doing” should be valued equally with academic learning and that all learners should experience a mix of both because there are many paths to success.

The 'Six Steps for Change' report addresses what Edge believes are the critical challenges facing us and provides some answers.

If you want to read the ways Edge believes we can address these challenges you can download the report at http://www.edge.co.uk/media/96180/six_steps_2012_launch_doc_web.pdf
