WHAT WORKS: IMPROVING SCHOOLS!

"Children and young people have only one chance of a good education....We need to work together to make sure all schools are good schools. This booklet is designed to help schools... learn from what works." Sir Michael Wilshaw
The challenge we face is about how we share, network and learn from what works. This booklet is designed to help schools learn from what works well elsewhere. It highlights the good practice identified in OFSTED reports on key curricula and organisational issues. It draws attention to the findings from these reports, each of which identifies the characteristics of outstanding provision. The report focuses on 'Moving English Forward' and 'Maths:Made to Measure'.....

...it also looks at 'Successful Science...

...and how we can narrow the gap...
