IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP US?

Better Learners, Better Workers (BLBW) is now working with 30 schools across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield... and importantly we are working with over 500 ambassadors in key employment sectors. We now need new funding to help us take Better Learners, Better Workers (BLBW) to the next stage...

Currently all our schools offer all their students at least three varied and high quality experiences of the world of work and in addition a carefully targeted group of student ambassadors are offered the full BLBW programme. Unlike most employability schemes, while we charge schools involved with the BLBW programmes, all the funding goes straight to our delivery partners. We have been incredibly fortunate to have had strong support from the Cutlers Company, Sheffield City Council and CEC over the last six years and we need to sustain this level of central funding to continue to monitor, manage, market evaluate and further develop the programmes.

Over the Summer, we have reviewed and revised all the BLBW materials to make the programmes work better, make them easier to deliver and support our schools, our delivery partners, our employers and our business champions. We are also working on a digital badges pilot to link with national developments like the CEC 'Passport for Life'... we aim for this to be available to all BLBW schools from next year. Any additional funding will ensure the sustainability, quality and consistency of the offer we are making to our schools and our young people.

If you can help, or if you know any organisations that can help, please let me know.
