LEADERSHIP MATTERS!

John Hattie suggests that we should develop a collaborative and cooperative approach to school improvement where we share, network and learn together.
We need a relentless and uncompromising focus on excellence and we can't wait for politicians, the DfE or OFSTED to change our world, we have take control and lead and shape the way. I am told that there are 5000000+ educators on twitter and we need to understand the power of our collective voice. We need to remember that nothing is impossible... there is an army of extraordinary teachers, coaches and educators out there and together we can change the world for the better. We need to explode the myth that the answer lies in Singapore, in Helsinki or in the private sector. I have been there, seen it and the answers are not there! We can and are releasing the talent, the potential and the magic in our little learners…., schools up and down the country are doing it everyday and where we are struggling to find solutions we need to know where to go for help. If you don't know how to do something phone a friend! If you are looking for answers to a problem ask the audience and you’ll get a million different answers! Use social networks! Use learning networks! Use the cloud! Someone somewhere has faced the same challenges, made the same mistake and wrestled with and solved that problem. Someone somewhere has tried that and found it worked or it didn’t. Someone somewhere can help whatever the challenges we face!
