Earth Hour 2011!

At 8.30pm this evening (Saturday 26 March 2011) Earth Hour will recognise and celebrate a worldwide commitment to ongoing action to protect the planet...
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia. In 2010, Earth Hour became the biggest ever with a record 128 countries and territories joining the global display of climate action. The WWF (World Wildlife Fund) believes there is still time to avoid the worst effects of climate change. But we need to act now and act together. Everyone who registers for Earth Hour sends a powerful message to government that we want urgent action to tackle climate change and to protect the natural world. You can find out about the WWF Earth Hour campaign by visiting their website at www.earthhour.org.
