GREAT SCHOOLS: Edale Rise Primary School!

I visited a really interesting little primary school today with my colleague Gill Ellis, Director of Schools and Learning at Nottingham City Council...

Edale Rise Primary School is in Sneinton in Nottingham and serves a rich and diverse community.
Gill and I were shown around the school by Jane Swingler, the headteacher, whose passion and commitment lit up our visit. The school is a 'Healthy School', has 'Activemark' and is committed to 'Learning Outside the Classroom' having been LOtC East Midlands Regional Winner in 2009. The school provides a little oasis of brilliant early years practice and they have some amazing grounds where they have developed a 'Forest School'.

You can visit the school website at www.edale-rise.nottingham.sch.uk/. You can find out more about Learning Outside the Classroom at their website at www.lotc.org.uk/. You can find out more about Forest Schools at their website at www.forestschools.com/.
