Bigger Trees Near Warter!

I met up with Richard Harker again this morning and we went to the York Art Gallery to see the Hockney exhibition...

The exhibition features the wonderful David Hockney painting 'Bigger Trees Near Warter' which is on loan from Tate. It is the largest painting the artist has ever produced and is made up of 50 individual canvas panels. The huge painting measures 40ft x 15 ft and features two copses, a huge sycamore tree, buildings, birds and early flowering daffodils. It takes its' inspiration from a site at Warter in the Yorkshire Wolds. If you are in York and you get the chance go and see it.
