TEN MESSAGES FROM PISA!

The more I read the PISA results the more I see that there are some really important messages which we need to use to help us guide and shape future provision.
Of course none of this is new and it simply reinforces the messages we have been discussing over the last decade.

  1. WE NEED TO NURTURE AND DEVELOP GREAT LEADERSHIP!
  2. GREAT TEACHING AND LEARNING IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!
  3. EVERYONE CAN LEARN AND EVERY LEARNER MATTERS!
  4. GREAT TEACHING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!
  5. GREAT CLASSROOMS REALLY MATTER!
  6. WE NEED TO INVEST IN THE EARLY YEARS!
  7. WE NEED TO DEVELOP TRUST AND RESPECT!
  8. WE NEED TO DEVELOP INTELLIGENT ACCOUNTABILITY!
  9. WE  NEED TO BE PERSISTENT, DETERMINED AND TO WORK HARD!
  10. WE NEED TO DEVELOP MASTER COACHING AND DETERMINED PRACTICE
The greatest challenge we face is to take the time to look at the research, the evidence and the data and use what we learn to continue to improve our leadership, our systems and our approach to accountability. As always, we need learning leadership, beautiful systems and intelligent accountability driving change and developing outstanding practice.
