THE SKILLS THAT REALLY MATTER!

We need to persuade the powers that be that the future is only going to be secured if we develop a 21st Century Learning Framework to drive our learning landscape. A framework built on 21st Century Skills as well as subjects.
In a world where everything is changing, the best way to predict the future is to invent it for yourself. We must think together, plan together and act together…one step at a time... focused on learning, sharing, thinking and communicating about what works, what doesn't and what we can do differently to change the learning landscape for our young people. We must stay focused on our passionate commitment to developing 21st Century Skills as an entitlement for every child and young person.

Developing 21st Century Skills raises issues and challenges but it also presents us with opportunities. Although as always, talking about it is easy but creating the offer for young people is more difficult. Changing words to action and activity is a huge challenge especially when you are sitting in the spotlight of the DfE and OFSTED. However, we know that a small group of committed, dedicated and passionate people who share a common belief in education, as the way into work, the way out of poverty, the passport to health, wealth and happiness for children and young people, can change the world and start a movement that builds a larger and larger community of practice.  A movement driven by passionate leadership and connected to a strong, dynamic and creative professional learning community. A movement rooted in standards, assessment and qualifications and underpinned by intelligent accountability. A movement supported by beautiful systems that support a culture of excellence. A movement supported by a relentless and uncompromising focus on teaching, coaching and learning... whatever it takes!
