WHAT A WEEK!

It has been an interesting, challenging and hugely rewarding week full of highs and lows… moving out of temporary rented accommodation, moving into our new home, attending the funeral of a close friend, talking to a wonderful group of NQTs, students and staff at York St John’s University, working with the new leadership team at the Westwood/Clapgate primary schools federation and working with colleagues from Capita and Entrust to develop a powerful and compelling approach to school improvement.

And what I have learnt again from an extraordinary week is that change management, school improvement and the search for excellence are not rocket science… they are about learning leadership, beautiful systems and intelligent accountability… they are about passion, pace and performance… they are about creating a culture where everyone is supported, thrives and succeeds… they are about no excuses, persistence, determination and hard work!

And always remember that if anyone else out there wants help with their learning and improvement journey just remember to phone/email/text a friend… I will always be happy to help in whatever way I can!
