TAKE A LOOK AT PANJANGO: CONNECTING LEARNING TO LIFE!

It has never been more important to help young people develop the essential skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil their potential and thrive in the world of work. I met Joe Leech, an old colleague, last week at Get Up to Speed at Magna. Joe is Director of 'big green fox' a pioneering company, unique in their commitment to careers education starting in primary schools, and is supporting educators in delivering a competency, not just content, based education which helps young people better understand why they are attending school.

Their first resource, Career Detectives, is a powerful tool to help teachers embed careers education within the core curriculum.
The resource raises aspirations by making links between educational subjects and future career opportunities and broadens young people’s horizons by educating them about the wide range of opportunities in the world of work.
“An innovative, fun and powerful tool that connects life and learning brilliantly!”
Dr Richard Gerver, Head Teacher of the Year

Their latest resource, Panjango, which Joe showed me at GUTS, offers a radically different approach
to careers education and gives learning context and purpose by directly linking the curriculum to work-related challenges.
“Panjango offers a radical new approach to the delivery of careers education – a powerful, immersive experience which helps young people understand why their learning is important and how it is used in practical settings in the world of work”
Dr Richard Gerver, Author & Head Teacher of the Year
