We want to develop in these young people the skills and attributes employers have told us are missing in our young people.
Skills like team building, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making and attributes like determination, adaptability, responsibility and resilience. We also work on basic skills like communication, literacy, numeracy and creativity. During the Cutlers' 'Made in Sheffield' programme our ambassadors have opportunities to speak to a range of audiences, support the delivery of the programme and contribute their views to help shape and develop the programme for other young people. They have regular feedback and reviews and at the end of the programme they are awarded a Cutlers' 'Made in Sheffield' skills passport to recognise their achievements and help them stand out from the crowd.
