IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!

"In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists."
I have been talking to colleagues about schools, education and learning and I always ask myself after visiting great schools and brilliant places what is it that makes it a brilliant learning place and what can we learn from what talented colleagues are doing. The answers aren't rocket science...
You need outstanding, focused and passionate leadership with clear values, beliefs and behaviours driving all aspects of the work... so the first thing is leadership! You then need an inclusive learning culture within highly focused and consistent systems... so the second thing is beautiful systems! You need a great learning team who focus on excellence, high standards and positive behaviour... so the third element is a great team!

You then simply need an uncompromising and relentless focus on being outstanding within an attractive and stimulating learning environment.... and there are lots of great examples out there where it is happening. And most of all, everyone has to have high expectations of each other and be prepared to work hard!
