BE YOUR BRILLIANT BEST!

Whether we like it or not, our colleagues know what we think of them and we all know that children, young people, colleagues and friends live up to, or down to, our expectations of them.
It took me long time to discover but when I thought of my colleagues as unique, talented, creative and having real potential, they knew and as a result they liked working with me... and not surprisingly they like how they felt about themselves. As a result I have always found that colleagues wanted to work with me, and would go beyond the call of duty for me. They would allow me to make mistakes, get things wrong and be human because I had gained their trust, their loyalty and their commitment... it was what made Education Leeds so special... and these are rare commodities in today's world.
