BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER!

In order to stimulate new thinking and create the impetus for more radical change, headteachers need to move from focusing overwhelmingly on their own particular school or community, to working more closely together
There needs to be a more radical shift in responsibilities to schools who take collective and shared responsibility for raising the achievements of every child in their community. Building on the Teaching Schools model we need to develop a partnership for excellence in leadership, teaching and learning to provide a forum for groups of schools to come together and agree their strategic priorities for the whole system. To achieve a genuinely self-improving school system, the activities and resources for school improvement should be rooted in schools to create a highly effective ‘self-improving school system’ connecting with and learning from best practice and what works in the UK and the rest of the world.
